I just returned from Australia on our 7 continent honeymoon journey! Australia was continent number 5 out of 7 – we only have two continents left to cover in 2016 – Europe and Africa! I will provide more details about my travel adventures in the Travel portion of my Rugged Glam Blog. But I do want to share my review with all you Rugged Glam-ers out there on the Christian Louboutin Egoutina Flat Boot.
I purchased these boots specifically for the Australia portion of my honeymoon. We went this July (I just returned so thanks for your patience while I get caught up and write my latest blog posts!). It is winter “down under” (in the southern hemisphere) so these boots were available at Christian Louboutin’s website at just the right time!
Christian Louboutin’s website describes: Our “Egoutina” is back and better than ever. For the lady who wants her everyday boot to have a punch of panache, this studded knee-high beauty is calling your name. What’s best: Her discrete interior platform gives you a bit of height for an added touch of poise and confidence.
What I love: Like any Rugged Glam-er, the spikes are what sold me! I am in love with the spikes and chic-ness of these boots. The spikes are on the toe box and on a strap across the back of the boot. The calfskin is very smooth. I have these in a limited gray color. They are available via major retailers in black. I also eyeballed them in a black patent leather but they sold out a couple seasons ago and I haven’t found them anywhere in my size.
I will do a separate review on how to preserve your red bottoms. I use 3M adhesives and will show you a step-by-step tutorial on how to apply that onto your beloved Loubis.
What I don’t love: The calf area on these boots are EXTREMELY narrow and fit tight. I believe they will expand once they’re broken in. I’m still working on breaking them in. I feel they’re tight at the upper portion of your calf and not at the ankles. This just has to do with the cut and frankly, there isn’t much that can be done about it other than breaking them in.
Size: Louboutin’s website (and other retailers) suggest you purchase these boots in your true to size fit. I personally feel you can go down half a size from your Italian true to size because of the wider cut in the shoe box. However, it is possible that the width at the calves will increase with the larger sizes, so if you don’t want to break in the calf area, you can get your true Italian size to give you additional space.
I wore them on top of leggings and jeans. They were SOOOO Cute on and will glam up any casual travel outfit.
Cost: They retail for 1495 before tax and can be purchased via Louboutin’s website HERE.
Hope you enjoyed this review and let me know if you have any questions about these Rugged Glam Christian Louboutin Egoutina Flat Boots.
Happy Shopping Rugged Glam-ers!
Much Love,
