Hike In Style | Jimmy Choo Inca Boot Review

Jimmy Choo came out with some badass unisex hiking boots for prefall ’19… I had my eye on them, but waited until I could snag them during a promotion before dishing out a full $895 which is what they retail for.

They come in a variety of colors ranging all the way from black to white…. I decided to go down a more neutral route and picked these hunky hiking boots up in “White Sand and Natural Crosta Suede”…. They claim to be “trainers”, but I found that to be a misclassification from what we’re typically used to when you say “Trainers….” … These are more like hiking boots and that’s exactly what I intend on using them as when I take a trip into the jebels and caves of Oman! Because let’s be honest…. who doesn’t want to look cute doing that! Come to think of it, they’d also make a great Safari boot too! I wore Salomons on my Safari to Tanzania, but if I had these, I definitely would have glam’d up my outfit in them!

Anyway, enough with the rambling… let me give you some tips in case you plan on purchasing them and need some help with a review on them!

Fit: I purchased these in a 40 (10 US) as that is my typical Jimmy Choo size…. Well, to my surprise they were TIGHT! I definitely recommend you go up a FULL SIZE up from your Jimmy Choo size…. If you don’t know what that is and you happen to own a pair of Louboutin So Kates, get it in THAT size… yes, that’s how small they run!

Comfort: The comfort on these (if you have it in the correct size) is FANTASTIC! They are sturdy, well constructed from Crosta Suede, Calfskin Leather, and something they call “Technical Mesh”- in other words, a Smart Mesh technology that is durable, water resistant, and all out 21st century awesome. The ankles are well supported and the boots cushion around them. Hands down, this is on the same “hiking boot” scale as North Face construction.

Esthetic: These are badass looking boots. The first thing that pops out is the BOLD branding along the sole that reads CHOO… It doesn’t take much to know you’re rocking a pair of Jimmy’s! The lacing is durable, the eyelets are reinforced, and I love the “star” detailing along the shoelace hooks! They come in a variety of colors to choose from – it seems the color ways are endless – black, green, metallic, tan, white, and the list goes on!

Pricing: These babies will set you back $895 before taxes. That’s not bad considering the heavy duty boots you’re getting – don’t forget it’s a luxury price tag too.

Where to wear: While I plan to wear these hiking, they’re also a cool boot to wear with a pair of shorts in the summer while running errands, with a long trench and jeans in fall, and of course with your safari outfit.

Where to buy: They’re available at nearly EVERY luxury department store/online retailer – from Neiman Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom, Farfetch, Net-a-Porter, Selfridges , myTheresa, and the list goes on… of course they’re also available at Jimmy Choo online too. I recommend you purchase this during a promotion to get some extra savings though!

Breaking them in: These are made of calfskin and will take to the shape of your foot. They will break-in with use and any “snugness” you feel at first will eventually subside.

Rating: 10/10. These are so high up there on my Must Have list as they’re timeless, classic, versatile, well made, and trendy all at the same time! What a great idea for a gift to yourself or your loved one! By the way – they are unisex!
